The Health Care Center is responsible for promoting the physical and mental health of students and staff at the University of Yamanashi, with Health Care Centers located on both the Kofu and Medical campuses.

You can use the Health Care Center at these occasions.

Health consultation, first aid, referral to medical institutions, etc.

The center is free to use. Please ask for help at the reception desk.

Opening hours: from 8:30 to 17:15, Monday to Friday

Who can use the service?

The Health Care Center is intended for students and staff of the University of Yamanashi. It is not available to the general public or alumni.

Is there a fee to use the center?

Consultations, medical examinations, first aid treatment and health certificates are free of charge. For vaccinations, a vaccine fee is required. Please note that the Kofu Campus does not provide influenza vaccination for students.

I need to see a larger hospital, is it possible to have a referral letter?

After consultation, a referral letter will be issued.

Can chronic diseases be treated?

The center is registered as a clinic that does not provide insurance treatment, so we do not provide ongoing medical care.

Is it possible to consult by e-mail?

It is possible to book a consultation day by email. We do not communicate by email about the consultation.

Can I have a telephone consultation?

Basically, you need to make an appointment and come to our center.

Can I be issued with a medical certificate related to my job search?

It is possible to issue a health certificate based on the results of a health check carried out in April at the university, but if there are other test items or restrictions on the timing of the examination, please bring the prescribed form with you and consult the center’s office.

Can the Health Care Center issue a medical examination certificate based on the results of an examination conducted at another medical institution?

No, we cannot issue any certificate based on other institution’s results.

Can you issue health certificates for the previous year in early April?

Not available for issuance. Issuance ceases at the end of the financial year and it takes approximately three weeks from after the health check in April of the relevant year to start issuing the certificate. If you need it, you should obtain it by March of the previous year.
